Practice, Practice, Practice!How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Ray finally found the way. The Caltech/Occidental College Concert Band performed Ray's arrangement of the Throop Institute March at Carnegie Hall in New York City on May 24, 2008. E. C. Kammermeyer's march, composed in 1900 for the Throop Institute Guitar and Mandolin Society, was rediscovered in 1987 (Throop later became the California Institute of Technology). The Caltech concert band is directed by William Bing. |
